Class Activity

       During one of the lecture session, Ms.Ann gave us a group activity to work on which is related to the chapter solid geometry which involves areas and volumes of basic geometries. She gave us a question where studetns need to find the correct answer for each question in the exercise and draw the actual scale of the solid geometry on a piece of A3 paper to be submitted as a hardcopy to her on the next lecture. We were divided into groups of 6, my group consist of:

Reflection:

I am a person who needs more time to process mathematical questions unlike my friends who can solve them in just one click. Through this class activity, I was given a chance to improve my mathematical skills which are counting and problem solving skills. I learned how to give my full focus in calculating the answers and learned how not to give up halfway without figuring out the true answer.

 

       On the other hand, I also got to further my understanding in the formulas of solid geometry in calculating their areas and volumes. I get to apply them when solving the questions given which was quite complicated for me. In addition, I was also exposed to how mathematical questions can be constructed in such different ways.

 

       Lastly, I was able to improve my communication skills as this was a group activity. I get to work with a different group of people where I even get to communicate with one of the group member which is taking QS.
