MALAYSIAN ARCHITECTURE TIMELINE:

VIDEO MONTAGE :

Reflection:

Through this project, I have gainied a lot of architectural knowledge about Malaysian Architecture. I have learned  about the design elements of a Minangkabau as well as Malay Houses which I have separated them into 5 main components which are the roof, stairs. stitlts, ventilation and ornaments. I learnt that all these components have a reason to be there to help enhance the building where it will be comfortable and applicable in reality. Through this, I have gained awareness that when designing a building, ventalation plays an extremely important role. Ventilation can be imporved by the type of materials you choose to built the building, the roof or even the openings that will cause wind flow into and out of the building.

On the other hand, I was also able to learn how to take beautiful but at the same time, meaningful photos with a message to convey. In addition, this project also provided me a chance to produce my own made postcards which was very interesting. I was also able to learn how edit the photos using photoshop which was the first time I'm being exposed to this software. In addition, I was able to do something that I have dreamt of doing since young which was to try out wood carving. I felt very proud of myself as I think that the wood carving was not so bad for a person who has no knowledge in that industry.

Lastly, I was able rto appreciate the building in Seremban as I was to appreciate the speciality of the Minangkabaus in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, my very own hometown.
