CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES

Project Brief:

In this project, students were required to assume themselves as the Malaysian Health Ministry where they are to conduct a survey to find out the understanding level of female and male students in Taylor’s University on one of the common chronic diseases in Malaysia. This survey focuses to compare how much male and female students understand about the diseases. Then, students will have to come out with an infographic poster to portray all the information that we have gathered and analyzed. On the other hand, a report was also required where all the process and calculations were to be included in the report namely the calculation method, the survey form , analysis and etc.

We were divided into a group of 5:

Reflection:

Through this project, I have gained much more knowledge on the topic that we chose which was cardiovascular diseases. I get to know the causes and effects of cardiovascular diseases as well as the treatments that could be carried out to cure these diseases. In addition, I also get to learn how to prepare a proper survey form with the suitable question asked so as to give us a precise conclusion out of each specific sub-topics.

On the other hand, I also get to experience the distribution of survey forms to various kind of people with different age range and races. Through this process, I was trained not to be shy in approaching strangers and to be polite in my request for them to fill up the survey form. Also, I have learned how to analyze all the information gathered and convert them into a statical form with graphs, pie charts and percentages.

Lastly, I was able to learn how to produce a good infographic poster to portray all the information that we have gathered throughout the whole project which is precise and informative. In addition, I was also able to imporve my communication skills with my group members ans learned how to enjoy the process of completing the project.
