Introduction To Drawing

Introduction to drawing is a module that teachers basic drawing skills ranging from simple lines, elevations, sections, perspectives, orthographic drawings and more. It also introduces architectural handwriting and provides students a platform to practice them as architectural handwriting is compulsory in every project in this module. Besides learning how to draw, students are exposed to tools that helps making drawing much more easier. For example, the french curve, circle templates, T-Square, Protractor and many more. These tools are required to complete the projects given so that students are able to use them wisely.

 

      In addition, line weights are also introduced to students in this module where all drawings requires line weight to be shown. Rendering skills were also taught through lectures where inspirational videos will be played so that students can be inspired to learn architecture renderings.

 

      In a nutshell, introduction to drawing is a foundation towards degree where more orthographic drawings are neede with more specifications and drawing skills. Therefore, this module is to be taken seriously as it will do a great help when students move on to degrees. Precise measurements which are to scale is also required in every projects so as to train students to get use of drawing with precision.
